Group Assets by Layers

Apart from the pre-defined groups (All, Lift, Movable, Video), you can customise your own group of assets using layers. This section covers how to:

Note: The following steps assume that the user is already logged in to the Digital Twin and selected a site.

Create Layer

  1. Select "ASSET/LAYER" tab.
  2. Select Add new layer.pngADD NEW LAYER.
  3. Fill in the Layer Name.
    Add Layer
  4. Search for assets using the Create Layer Search Bar.pngSearch Bar (Optional).
    • Layer Search Or.pngOR: Assets that match at least one keyword will be displayed.
    • Layer Search And.pngAND: Only assets that match all keywords will be displayed.
  5. Select assets not in the layer and add them to the layer by selecting the right arrow.
    • To remove assets: Select those in the layer and remove them by selecting the left arrow.
  6. Select "DONE" to create the layer.

Select Assets

There are multiple ways of selecting assets:

  • Use your mouse.
  • Use Select All Create Layer.pngSelect All below the corresponding list to select all assets displayed in the list.
  • Use Select Visible Create Layer.pngSelect Visible to select visible assets.
  • Use Select None Create Layer.pngSelect None to unselect selected assets.
  • Use Invert Create Layer.pngInvert to invert selected assets.

Share Layer

By default, the layer you created is only visible to you.

To share it with users in your Access Group:

  1. Select "ASSET/LAYER" tab.
  2. Select the "Visibility" button beside Layer Name of the layer you want to share.
    • Not Shared Layer.png Only you can see the layer.
    • Shared Layer.png All users in your Access Group can see the layer.

Edit Layer

  1. Select "ASSET/LAYER" tab.
  2. Select Edit Layer.pngEdit beside Layer Name of the layer you want to edit.
  3. Edit layer as required (steps are similar to Create Layer).

Only Adding Assets

Once a Layer is created and you subsequently want to add assets to it, the Digital Twin provides 3 other ways:

  • Method 1: Add visible assets
  1. Hide/Unhide assets.
  2. Select Asset Info.pngMore beside Layer Name of the layer you want to add the asset to.
  3. Select "Add visible assets to <layer_name>".
  • Method 2: Add selected assets
  1. Select relevant assets.
  2. Select Asset Info.pngMore beside Layer Name of the layer you want to add the asset to.
  3. Select "Add selected assets to <layer_name>".
  • Method 3: Add assets to empty layers
  1. Select the empty layer.
  2. Select Add Asset To Empty Layer.pngADD ASSET.
  3. Add asset to layer (steps are similar to Create Layer).

Delete Layer

  1. Select "ASSET/LAYER" tab.
  2. Select Delete Layer.pngDelete beside Layer Name of the layer you want to delete.
